Confidence Nurse Clinics

These clinics are specialised sessions designed to help pets, who are particularly worried or fearful, become more comfortable and confident during their visits to the vets. We use positive, pressure-free techniques to introduce pets to the sights, sounds and handling procedures they might encounter during their visits to see us.
We are also part of the Dog Friendly Clinic Scheme, a collaboration between Dogs Trust and the British Veterinary Behaviour Association.
The confidence clinics are FREE-of-charge, and we usually recommend booking in a block of 4 sessions (ideally 1 every 2 weeks but this can be flexible) to begin with to ensure continuity and progress.

Weight Nurse Clinics

Being overweight increases the risk of certain health conditions for your pets and can lower their quality of life. Our nurses will advise how best to help your pet lose weight and also maintain their healthy weight long term. Our 30 minute weight clinic involves: Weight check and body condition score – Tailored Diet Plan – Body Measurements – Before and After Photographs – Advice on current feeding and exercise regime – Advice on Weight Loss Diets – 10% discount on all prescription food.

Puppy and Kitten Nurse Clinics

We are now running monthly puppy and kitten checks from 4 months to 13 months old. The Puppy and Kitten Clinics are FREE of charge for all our clients. These appointments will ensure positive associations are made with the clinic, the people and the things within in, with gradual introductions to everything, alongside your pet’s veterinary care.

Puppy Evening Class

Our very popular Puppy Evenings are held at the Windermere branch. These evenings are one-off complementary sessions offered to all puppies between their first and second vaccinations (or between 8-13 weeks of age). The evenings provide puppies with an opportunity to socialise and meet other puppies in a safe and controlled environment, as well as discussing a wide range of topics such as basic health care, including worming, nutrition, insurance and basic puppy training. There is also the opportunity for puppy owners to ask any questions they may have. You will be automatically added to the waiting list following your puppy’s first vaccination and an invitation will be emailed. If you puppy has had their first vaccination elsewhere please let us know so we add you to the list.
