Welcome to Oakhill Veterinary Referrals. Below is a list of our most common referral fees. We understand referral surgery is expensive, but have gone to great lengths to try and make it affordable; Our ‘all inclusive’ fee structure will hopefully avoid any of those annoying add-ons, while our Interest Free Credit options allows you to spread the cost of your pet’s surgery.
CONSULTATIONS
- Referral Consultation £175 (included in surgery prices)
- Post-operative consultations £85 (Inclusive*)

*routine post-operative / follow-up consultations are typically included in the surgery fee. Additional consultation / x-ray fees will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY

- External Stabilisation / Lateral Suture £2,250
- Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) £3,250
- Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy (TPLO) £3,500 (under 40kg) / £3,800 (over 40kg)
- Cranial Closing Wedge Osteotomy (CCWO) £3,500
- Luxating Patella Surgery (<25kg) £2,400
- Hip Toggle £2,900
- Femoral Head and Neck Excision (FHNE)
Cat £1,250
Dog £1,750 - Lateral humoral condyle from £3,600
- Plate Fixation from £1,750
- External skeletal fixation from £1,750
- Amputate limb
Cat £1,200
Dog £1,500 - Pan Tarsal Arthrodesis £3,700
- Partial tarsal Arthrodesis £3,500
- Pan carpal Arthrodesis £3,700
Please note: Some orthopaedic procedures require x-rays to be repeated approximately 8 weeks
following the surgery. These x-rays are an additional £350.
Rehabilitation: We strongly recommend post operative rehabilitation in our Animal Rehabilitation Centre (ARC) following these orthopaedic surgeries. We have a fantastic and heavily discounted post-operative rehabilitation package bespoke to each patient that has had surgery at Oakhill: £660 for 12 sessions over the three months following surgery.
SOFT TISSUE SURGERY
- Total Ear Canal Ablation / Bulla Osteotomy £2,500
- Perineal Hernia (including castration) £2,400
- Anal Saculectomy
One side £1,250
Two sides £1,650 - Gastropexy £275*
*When done in conjunction with another elective intra-abdominal surgery such as neutering, including castration.
Wound Management
- Oncological Surgery / Axial Pattern Flaps from £1,500**

Helpful Information
Fee estimates above are for uncomplicated surgical procedures. Please refer to our Pre-Operative Information sheets for the details about individual surgeries, possible complications and what is and is not included in the surgical fee. With any surgery, unforeseen complications may arise, which may mean additional surgery, hospitalisation or medications, incurring additional costs. We will always endeavour to keep clients regularly informed of their pet’s progress during their stay with us and inform them before any additional treatments are carried out.

Accommodation: Oakhill Vets is based in Windermere in the beautiful Lake District. We are happy to take referrals from clients further afield. Most owners from outside the local area find that combining their pet’s surgery at Oakhill with a break in The Lakes allows them to reduce the stress of referral, during their pet’s assessment, treatment and post-operative recovery period.
