Matthew joined the practice in 2002 However, he did actually first work at the practice as a schoolboy trainee aged 11! 

Clinical areas of interest: General Medicine and Anaesthesia. Matthew holds post-graduate qualifications in both of these areas. 

Personal Interests: When not at work Matthew enjoys spending time with his family, working in the garden and running.

Pets: Two rabbits called Bertie and Phoebe

Position: Veterinary Surgeon and Partner

Qualifications: BVet Med, MRCVS

Alex joined the practice in 2014

Clinical area of interest:

Alex's main area of interest is Small Animal Surgery, particularly Orthopaedics, of which he sees cases at the Windermere Practice for clients of Oakhill Veterinary Group as well as referal cases from other veterinary practices. Please make an appointment or give him a call if you are concerned about your pet or if you are a referring vet with an interesting case.

Personal Interests: 

When not at work Alex loves spending his spare time in the outdoors with his family and two dogs Ben and Finn. He enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities, including Fell Running, Triathlon, Open Water Swimming and and the relatively new sport known as Swimrun. Alex takes on long distance challenges in one or more of these guises each year for one of our chosen charities. Please see the Charities page on our website for more details.

Kathryn joined the practice in 2015

Clinical area of interest: Surgery. Kathryn is currently studying towards a post graduate surgery qualification.

Personal Interests: Outside of work Kathryn can generally be found roaming the fells or swimming in the many lakes or tarns.

Pets: A Border Terrier called Kippa

Helen joined the practice in 2015

Clinical area of interest: Diagnostic Imaging and Equine 

Personal Interests: Helen loves the outdoors and enjoys mountain walking, mountain biking and swimming. She is an active member of Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team. 

Pets: Two Springer Spaniels Archie and Loch and three Border Collies Moss, Cass and Tess.
